What a simpleton. The terrorism of 9/11, and in fact most Islamic terrorism, is a direct result of the United States NOT being an isolationist and interfering in the affairs of countries all over the world.

What a shitty take from a shitty poster.

Isolationism had nothing to do with 9/11. It had more to do with us sticking our fricking nose in everybody's business since about 1945 through current day than it had to do with isolationism.

You're a fricking idiot.

He voted for it???

smh.

There is ZERO non criminal reason to give our money away like this when we are 30 trillion in debt.

Looks like Ted is now in the crooked column. This is a shame.

Every World War started because of the United States isolationism, not because of the US sticking its nose where it doesn’t belong. There is no correct answer to these kinds of situations. I know none of y’all will agree with me, but isolationism is just not a realistic answer for the US, at this point in its history. Yes the US should back off, and have taken things too far since H.W. Bush, but the people saying we should just keep everything here, in the US, and not deal with anything going on around the world, are just ignorant. Too many of y’all don’t understand how things work outside of the Deep South and Texas.

So, in your mind, we need to send aid to everyone that needs it... That makes sense, I am certain in your mind...

There is a way to not be isolated and still not keep pumping money into a black hole that is Ukraine...

I mean, this is sort of an absurd statement.

And I don't even necessarily consider myself an "isolationist."

Osama and his merry band of disgusting morons didn't bomb us because we kept to ourselves.

Cruz does the right thing according to his campaigning 90% of the time, but a vote like this is why i like Paul a lot more.

don't get me wrong. Beto or anybody else would have voted to end the filibuster, and done about a million other things i don't like, but Cruz f'd up.

i can kinda grant WW2, but WW1 had almost 0 to do with the US' isolationism. it went longer because we didn't get involved, but we had nothing to do with Eastern Europeans getting entangled in a bunch of treaties.

I mean "American isolationism" may have factored into how some of the things there played out logistically, but I don't think you can categorically say it "started because" of that.

For WWI it's completely absurd across the board.

Look at Levin, he's so invested in the Ukraine/Zelensky shite show he's become nearly impossible to listen to anymore. He's constantly referring to anyone who doesn't agree with him or believes the US has no business or global strategic interests that warrant involvement in Ukraine as a "Putinoid."

I wonder if Levin knows the majority of Dims/Groomer party loyalists support US involvement in Ukraine? Does Levin suddenly believe the Dims are right on Ukraine when they've been wrong on nearly every one of their foreign policy decisions the past 10-15 years?

Agreed. The start of ww1 had nothing to do with the US.

I have written to my senator several times on this issue with no reply as of yet.

Moving forward, I will address him as Coward Cruz (as I do in my emails to him).

Lying Ted is dead.

What a stupid son of a bitch. You know that the entire reason for that bombing was due to decades of coups/bombings in the ME right? Even at 109 years old Ron Paul could kick your arse.

I shouldn’t have said the world wars started because of isolationism, but my point was that the world goes crazy, when the US isn’t sticking their noses in places. Not that I think we should do what we’re doing right now, or have done for the last 30 years, but that’s just the reality the world faces.

I don't see how it does that when we are just sticking our toe in the water and not diving into the deep end. Vietnam and Normandy show the difference when the USA needs to be in a war or does not, and this is somewhere in between the two, but it sure feels more like a conflict we don't intend to win, so why waste our time or money?

I need specifics. How does it protect our national security? Ukraine is completely corrupt, so I don't see anything from them that makes me feel secure, and giving billions of dollars to someone that we will never get back seems like a lot of economic damage, so I am going to need you to put pencil to paper and show me exactly how we are going to benefit economically.

I know the dems are on the take in Ukraine, but I am struggling to see the upside here for Ted. Could he possibly be on the take as well?
