Major social platforms have been cracking down on the spread of misinformation and conspiracy theories in the leadup to the presidential election, and expanded their efforts in the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. But Apple and Google, among others, have left open a major loophole for this material: Podcasts.
Podcasts made available by the two Big Tech companies let you tune into the world of the QAnon conspiracy theory, wallow in President Donald Trump’s false claims of a stolen election and bask in other extremism. Accounts that have been banned on social media for election misinformation, threatening or bullying, and breaking other rules also still live on as podcasts available on the tech giants’ platforms.
Conspiracy theorists have peddled stolen-election fantasies, coronavirus conspiracies and violent rhetoric. One podcaster, RedPill78, called the Capitol siege a “staged event” in a Jan. 11 episode of Red Pill News. The day before the Capitol riot, a more popular podcast, X22 Report, spoke confidently about a Trump second term, explained that Trump would need to “remove” many members of Congress to further his plans, and said “We the people, we are the storm, and we’re coming to DC.”

It is like there is a blitzkrieg against anything that doesn't fit their worldview. The desire to silence the opposition or anyone that doesn't agree with you is what is concerning. Who would have thought the left would embrace Fahrenheit 451 as a blueprint instead of a warning.

It is worse than F451. The dims failed in school and do not know history. Not one of them realize that they are acting just like the N a z i ' s did, maybe the "elite- plantation owners" know what they are doing.
They have taken over the MSM, They are telling people what they want the people to hear which is brain washing them, and they are silencing the truth. Now they want to remove ALL Trump voters from their jobs, and send them to "rehabilitation camps". How is this different from 1930's Germany?

I wouldn’t bet my life on that idea. My kids are military and we talk about these things. You will find that the majority will follow orders, they are slightly to very liberal, and it gets worse as you move up the ranks. Mine are not in one branch either. One is Army and one is Air Force. One is in a combat situation and one is admin. It’s the same story both sides. My third son has got his MEPS date, but after talking to them, he said screw this and went another direction.

The push right now is to limit/stop the mass spread of conspiracy horseshite and true fake news. Many now see that it is truly damaging and it’s getting dealt with.
In large part, you can thank the Sydney Powells and Lin Woods of the world for that. There’s one thing to point out inconsistencies, but it’s completely different when it becomes secret battles between the CIA and special forces in Europe for 007 servers and shite.
I am a bit concerned with how hard the sanctioning has become though.

I get you’re a liberal but don’t you see that once people accept censorship it just continues to grow in what they censor. You focus on the people speaking of “conspiracy theories” on the internet but yet make no mention of all of the disinformation spewed daily on the MSM.
This type of information is also allowed to be freely shared on all social media platforms. This is basically state-run propaganda and you see no problem with it.

It’s total propaganda. It’s amazing to read what is in basic news articles. I was searching to see which bills are before the Georgia legislature to clean up the voting. In the AP articles they say stuff like “Trump’s false allegations” “totally unfounded” “proven false.” I am simply trying to see how the Georgia legislature is going to correct the system and I have to read this garbage in a “news” article. It’s the worst I have ever seen in my life. The mainstream media has never had a lot of credibility, but now they aren’t even trying to hide their bias.
