McGuire seems like a viable option. Until I see proof otherwise, I will simply rely on his voting record to inform my opinion of him.

IMO the only influence that McCarthy had was his money. The biggest influence was Trump. Trump endorsed McGuire because he said a lot of good things about Trump.

The response by the few have nothing to with it. It's already been said with accuracy. They only care about going after Trump.
They are doing what they claim Trump did and it's what makes Trump bad. Things like "it's his turn". Ok.. so it was Good's turn. See what I mean.

The good news is McGuire will represent VA 5 well and with that probably vote exactly the same as Good would have. The good news for Trump and the reason he endorsed him it he has another solid team member in congress.
I don't get why this is so hard from some people to understand. If Good supports you 90% of the time and McGuire supports you 98% of the time you help McGuire get elected.
