I would have to add 15-20 percent on jobs prices between 50-100k most of my customers won’t like that especially contractors so they either downsize the project or do without either way I’m losing money

Well, to be fair, many of those consumers voted to do so.

Like the OP.

You are paying more. Not 25% more on all products, but yes, you are paying more.

If not, what were those refunds for?

US population is 8 times larger than Canada we should have a deficit. Charging them a ridiculous higher tariff to balance things is stupid. The only thing they charge us high tariffs on is Quotas if we dont go over the quota we dont pay them. We rarely pay the Quota tariffs

What a short sighted stupid arse way to look at the situation. Do you think for one GD second Canada has a military capable of defending itself? Do you think they have for the past idk, let’s just say 50 years?

Who’s military do you think they’ve been relying on for defense? That shite doesn’t come without a cost. Use your fricking brains for once to see the bigger picture here. I’m not sure how some of you people manage to make it through a day in this world.

If I am, I haven't noticed. Prices seem pretty stable compared to recent years.

Cut my income tax in half and I will start being ok with tariffs. Until then its fricking dumb.

This is what I don’t get about the MAGA folks. You are being taxed twice. They aren’t imposing tariffs and lowering income taxes. Nope. Tariffs go up, taxes stay the same, inflation goes up.

If You think business is just going to absorb these tariffs without passing the cost along to the customer, you’re missing the whole point of business. It’s for profit. Absorbing tariffs, reduces profit.

When did POTUS lower my taxes? 1st term

If we making all this money on tariffs and trade lower them again. Oh but now the Mid terms are in question because of war and tariffs and we could lose are already slim majority so nothing will get lowered. if that happens we are fricked and will probably get a tax hike and the tariffs will stay in place. The POS Dems will be back in control and have more money to reinstate all their fraud we shut down here and oversees.

Trump should have spent his first 2 years implementing his most popular agenda empowering Republicans to take a bigger majority in 26. Instead he started this war and kept prices high and stuck inflation now he lost support instead of gaining it. He could have easily did more and started the war after mid terms it was a colossal mistake.
