Talking to my Uber lib dad

Was talking to my dad a few minutes ago, mentioned the heat in Europe and the UK, said Europe had 3x the heat deaths in '24 that we had gun deaths...wondering if he'd pick up what I was saying, he said "Ya know, they're so far North, not many of them have A/Cs(youd think theyd get em after '24 if that was the case)..I can't figure if it's just another thing he's in denial about, or if he actually doesn't know

The question to ask him is if there are that many heat deaths in the UK or that few gun deaths in the U.S. See what his response is.

Weird that the word “gun” don’t set him off. I’ve noticed lately the progressives seem to be focused on a/c and other things besides guns. I guess they really do get their talking points emailed or texted to them.

My point was simply the HUGE number of heat deaths.......it wasn't about guns at all, I was just trying to give him some type of scale

Believe me, we've had it out.....it's a tenuous situation, he's a little too scared of me to step too far outta line, but to be sure, I can tell since I finally left the left during blm/covid that he's different, I honestly think he changed his life insurance to my son but......I'll find out eventually
