Talked to my buddy from Venezuela about the Brazil elections

I have a friend through work who I saw today, and brought up the elections going on around the world.
He was a power plant operator in VEN before Chavez came to power. His entire family fleet to Italy when Chavez starting turning the country socialist, and ended up coming then making it to America where he lives and works. He also has alot of family in Brazil who still live there.
First, he was extremely proud of Italy for electing Meloni. He said there is a mass awakening going on over there that hasn't quite made its way to America yet, but it will.
Second, he was in tears talking about what happened to Venezuala and what he fears could happen to Brazil. He said his family is very fearful and are exploring options to flee the country if it goes the way of Venezuala. His family told him the country overwhelmingly supports Bolsonaro and there are huge rallies with people wearing green and yellow all over. He said the cheating in Brazil is over the top, beyond anything we can imagine even in America, as well as the media coverage. He felt it will take a mass social movement to overwhelm the systems they have in place to place Lula in charge, but believes it can happen.
Third, he says America is different than Venezuala in alot of ways, but sees so many similarities currently happening here, that led Venezuala down the path to dictatorship. And fears without the proper response from the American people to put a stop to it, the same evils that took over Venezuala will completely take over America.

Tuesday, November 8, 2022. 35 Days. In 35 days, we should have a clearer picture which way the USofA is headed. Tyranny or Freedom?
I'm guardedly optimistic. But the ability of the Cabal to cheat, and the reluctance of our institutions to repulse the cheating causes me concern.

quote:Well your friend must have missed Lula's 8 years as President when millions rose from poverty , huge economic growth of a stagnant Brazil & nearly tripled its trade surplus. Your friend shouldn't fear Lula.

And tell him redstates & Republicans aren't too friendly to Venezuelan immigrants.

How is that?
They are getting free rides on chartered jets to some of the nicest areas of the country.
That's pretty sweet.

You have him confused with the millions of illegals here, with no skills, and can't speak the language.
He is a highly productive project manager and speaks English fluently. He immigrated here legally, the right way, pays his taxes, and doesn't break the law, is a Christian and a family man. My red state I live in very much appreciates hard working and productive "legal" immigrants like him. He also hates leftists and Democrats.

It's definitely not good that Lula won 48.43% of the vote. Bolsonaro is in a tight spot. The same mentally weak and unstable kind of people in Brazil want to get rid of Bolsonaro because he hurts their feelings. Same as it was here with Trump.

My sister and BIL fled Venezueal six years ago. They left their real estate. They too see the parallels.
She said "Once they get power, they are not giving it back."

The response is secession and preparing yourself.
