Agreed. CNN is covering it well as is fox. CNN is surprisingly covering it in raw interviews with afghans who are left in the lurch.
The fallout from all of this is going to be real bad.
I see terrorism becoming a major concern right now. International travel by Americans is risky right now and the foreseeable future.
Even the “friendly” afghans will be resentful of what we did. We have an entire country pissed off at us and we had tremendous good will with most of them until a week ago.

So I don't know if this was already posted, but apparently Biden has "taken all public remarks, press briefings and press conferences off his schedule" according to Fox News after the blowback from his ABC interview.

The Taliban seriously underestimated the US Media. Had they made a simple show of protecting media members, they could have had CNN/MSNBC etc cheering on the deaths of American hostages to come.

From what I’m seeing on Twitter, you need to turn it on CNN. Apparently Clarissa Ward is at the airport and it’s going nuts there. Clarissa Ward is who Jim Acosta pretended to be for 4 years.

I for one do not think he needs to give any remarks, briefings, or conferences anyway because its well known actions speak louder than words and given his action what else needs to be said or asked of him?

Cant believe I turned on CNN. They have video, says earlier today.
Ive only watched 5 minutes or so, but considering the situation, it looks relatively calm.
Looks like everyone in line has MREs and water. Our troops look relaxed.
ETA: I dont have the volume on, so they may be talking about an event or something that happened.

They already are. The problem is, like with most grandiose liars, they can't keep their lies straight. It also doesn't help their effort that no one seems to be in charge and directing the show. So, we get different, clashing info from the White House, the State Department, and the Pentagon. Fortunately, some of the folks involved in this clusterfrick have decided they don't want to go down with this and have been communicating through back channels what has really gone on and what is going on.
