I spoke with ihometiger early this morning and according to him those Americans and other westerners who ARE NOT at the airport ARE now actually hostages. ihome said last night his friends told him they were hearing gun shot after gun shot as Taliban went into their neighborhood looking for identified collaborators killing them and their family members. They told him the roads were relatively traffic free because there are Taliban checkpoints everywhere and that the guys were unsure how they and the NGO charity aid workers they were protecting from the US who are women would last. They called their wives and children in what they think might be the last time any of them will ever speak to them alive. They have Satellite phones and said theere is no communication with the US Gov't at all right now as it is a directionless quagmire with no assurances or suggestions other than to just keep hiding.

ihome is former special forces who started a private security and logistics business years ago and sold the company a few years ago. He has 7 former employees (all special forces) from Louisiana & Mississippi he personally recruited and brought on who were working security for a women's charity the last few months. ihome is back in Louisiana but is in communications with them trying to help figure a way for them to get out.

If anyone can get them out without government support it would be ihome as he and Erik Prince are very close.

Serious question - does he have channels to make sure their location is known?

My son's unit won't leave if at all possible with them there. I currently can't reach my son, but if your buddy doesn't have comms to the chain I may through some congressmen I know.

The Pentagon just gave a press briefing and it sure sounded like they had no plan for getting anyone out that was not at the airport. Of course, they may not want to disclose that either. I do suspect large sums of money will be needed to ensure each every persons ability to leave.
