It’s ironic that you are using the term “the White House” to represent the presidency while simultaneously arguing that it’s ok that Biden isn’t there in a massive national crisis.
The White House is the symbol of the presidency and represents the presidency and the seriousness of the highest office in the nation. I don’t care if it’s described as a vacation or not. It’s terrible for optics that Biden hasn’t returned. I don’t care if they can get stuff done at camp David or not. It implies that he isnt treating this situation with the gravity that it requires.

If Americans and other NATO citizens are beheaded in the streets and broadcasted, he may have no choice but to take some coordinated action. We won’t go back in with boots on the ground but I don’t know if citizens of all the countries involved will allow “diplomacy” ie payoffs to be the only course of action. People are already pissed.
