The airport is a single runway airport and apparently it is being reserved for Americans only.
This is a much, much bigger blunder than people are giving it credit for.

Agreed. Although, I have to believe that we have plenty of assets in place (above and on the ground) in case shite pops off.

There's also the chance of a few overzealous Taliban fighters kicking something off.
Yea, I think this is the biggest risk. Can the Taliban maintain order itself? Afghanistan has a TON of warlords then you mix in all of the prisons that have been raided (e.g. Bagram).
There maybe some pissed off Afghani's seeking retribution.

They're not going to attack. They would already if they had plans. They're not risking any chance of drawing the U.S. back into war. They know they can't win, they haven't won a battle in 20 years. They just waiting for the military to leave on their own and then take full control.

Those folks probably got trampled more than anything.
This is Afghan's version of Black Friday.
I also just read that Turkey was in talks to provide security after US/NATO left.
Also, I just read that the US had a small base at the Kabul Intl Airport (which makes sense and why we fell back from the Embassy to Intl Airport.

It wouldn't take a coordinated attack, though. With that number of people and the chaos going on, all it would take is a few of them with itchy trigger fingers or ill intent toward Americans/Allies.
I'm not saying it will happen, just that it could.

We fell back to the airport because Kabul was surrounded, and the original plan of having Embassy workers and others drive themselves or be driven to the airport was shot to hell. The airport is the only option every single person who wants out has right now.

This is the person Gravitiger voted for to lead the country when Biden is deemed physically and/or mentally unfit for duty everyone.

Well of course it makes sense. I mean they are still surrounded but it gives them the option to escape ASAP while also having military cover.
With Bagram in the Taliban control and US assets moved on. We are extremely limited.
What a shite show.

More airport video. That seems like an almost impossible job:

Super legit source there, for sure.

This is probably more concerning to me than anything. I feel like the Taliban won't mess with the airport folk. It's the folks that are cut off that are in a bigger danger.

Yep, you got it. I'm getting visions of the movie: Argo. (True Story re: Iran Hostage Crisis)

Here’s what you haven’t considered: what if some of those people are in the Taliban? Last airport video I watched I counted 7 women and 6 kids out of hundreds of men. Something is fricked there. Are there that many single men, lack of families, and lack of single women? Something is truly fricked.
