Their role is student, the educator taking roll is in the role of authority figure, or should be. Now if the student wishes to change their role from one gender to that of another, it is not of the educator's role to be responsible to know that.

Whoever wrote that sign knows how to spell "Transphobic" but they don't know how to spell "roll" as in "roll call".
