When you're so far left you think you're on the right of the political spectrum. You voted for Biden and the shitshow that came with him.

The fact that you seriously tried to equate these two is laughable on so many fronts.

100% chance those millage taxes are factored in to the rent. No chance that landlord is simply eating those taxes.

ETA: That being said, I disagree with payroll taxes and property taxes equally.

You really don't need to try to defend his comment. It's probably accurate and it's not the fault of the folks drawing from or soon to be drawing from SS either. They can all lose that benefit anytime as well.

It is just a sucky arse system for all.

How so? You're talking about paying out money that you claim will never benefit you. Neither does my example benefit me or mine.

People pay into social security to get direct payments back.

Young people paying now will never receive those benefits.

Old people have (presumably) already had their kids, which directly benefitted from their payments. They also (presumably) have grandchildren.

Also…. Let me know when your millage for schools ends up with direct payments to the people that have been paying that millage their entire working lives.

You’re literally comparing apples to birds. Not even in the same realm as an accurate comparison.

CNN chicken-choker Jeffrey Toobin rages after SCOTUS rules that poor kids should be allowed to go to private religious schools

Replying to @NickFondacaro
CNN masturbation expert Jeffrey Toobin hates that the Supreme Court would protect religious liberty and end state-sponsored discrimination against religious schools.
He claims this violates the establishment clause. "That idea is breaking down under the conservative majority."

Where #SCOTUS is heading: all parents get vouchers and they can send their kids to public or parochial schools. "Separation of church and state" is a vanishing concept at the Supreme Court.
It is a breakdown of the Establishment clause a bit if you consider that Religions should receive zero funding from government. But in the Maine case the vouchers are going to kids who don't have local school options.

Of course this will cause more money to be pulled from taxes. Probably why Texas busses kids up to 90 minutes to get them to a school.

The Republican Party has been spreading that lie since Social Security was started over 80 years ago.

I love how they hate Christianity to the point of shaking, but prop up every other religion.

What case and what’s the split?

If they’re giving funds to secular private schools absolutely can’t discriminate against religious private schools.

Honestly, this does nothing but hurt the kids. Dumb law to begin with.

If the GOP had any clue, they would adopt school choice into the base platform.

ALL of the anti-school choice Repubs got obliterated in the primaries. Tons of pissed off parents from the COVID protocols. Ride the wave, don't fight it.

School choice is not a silver bullet, but it is a step in the right direct.

Wait until a private Muslim school goes up in Baton Rouge and taxpayers are funding it. Will be fun to watch.
