Surprise surprise, the left is mad at scotus allowing public funds for religious schools

I’m convinced the left is utterly incapable of understanding what separation of church and state means
First off, there are Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, Christian, etc schools. Allowing public funds to go to *all* types of religious schools is not a violation of the establishment clause.
But secondly, and far more importantly, Maine deciding that a religious school should be treated second class (in terms of access to public funds) compared to secular schools is *the exact opposite of separation of church and state*
Separation of church and state means the government cannot either preferentially OR disfavor religious orientation when it comes to equal treatment.
The government exclusively providing tax funds to Christian schools is a blatant violation of the first amendment, but so is the government refusing public funds access to a school because it is religious. Both are examples of the govt using religion to give preferential or inferior treatment
Why doesn’t the left get this?

Leftists are only capable of viewing the world through hatred of what they see as the establishment…white Christian men.

How will you spin this as being Trump’s fault?

Christians pay taxes too. So do people of other religions. You can't be expected to pay in and never receive benefits of.

Simple solution, don't take my money and you don't have to worry about where the state spends it.

In this case the left isn't really mad. Specifically to Maine, I agree with the decision.
Maine wasn't refusing the funds to parochial schools because they don't like them. They were following general legal doctrine based on the establishment clause.

CNN chicken-choker Jeffrey Toobin rages after SCOTUS rules that poor kids should be allowed to go to private religious schools
Replying to @NickFondacaro
CNN masturbation expert Jeffrey Toobin hates that the Supreme Court would protect religious liberty and end state-sponsored discrimination against religious schools.
He claims this violates the establishment clause. "That idea is breaking down under the conservative majority."

Where #SCOTUS is heading: all parents get vouchers and they can send their kids to public or parochial schools. "Separation of church and state" is a vanishing concept at the Supreme Court.

Maybe for the same reason you've deluded yourself into thinking you're on the right?

The long-term concern is that the government will simply change the rules to require the school to teach certain things, in order to get money.
For example, a Christian school will no longer be able to teach that one's gender is determined at birth.
And the courts will then say: "the government isn't denying based on religion, since some Christian schools are receiving funds".

If not for people like you, we wouldn't have another left-wing activist hack being appointed to SCOTUS.

What case and what’s the split?
If they’re giving funds to secular private schools absolutely can’t discriminate against religious private schools.
Honestly, this does nothing but hurt the kids. Dumb law to begin with.
