his doesn't make any sense to me... nearly a billion and a half dollars... is that not "excessive"?

Your young child was shot to pieces and Alex Jones suggest what the un relenting pain you are experiencing is based on a hoax. Then his looney listeners start harassing your family to the point you have to relocate your family. I'm not sure I could have held myself together enough not to hunt that fat piece of shite down and gutted him like the pig that he is....but for my remaining family's sake, I think I would settle for absolutely ruining him and his business financially.

Good. It's not a Supreme Court issue.

Just don't go around spreading vile filth, and you'll be fine.

There WERE fishy things about Sandy Hook. Of course, that doesn't mean it didn't happen the way it has been explained. I just would have liked to have seen answers to the fishy stuff.

Based on who's opinion? What if i think what you just posted is "vile filth"? Can i sue you for 1.4 billion? Do you see what i'm getting at?

Now you will say, "but Jones and Sandy Hook". And? So what? Freedom of speech. That means we are allowed to say whatever stupid shite we want without fear of persecution. Yet, if you are conservative, like Jones, your stupidity gets magnified and crucified. If you want to be consistent, then shouldn't everyone lying about Charlie Kirk and justifying his murder also be sued for $1.4 billion or higher? Who is the arbiter of free speech? Who gets to decide what speech gets sued into oblivion and what is protected? You?

Prosecute the loony listeners that harassed the families. Honest question, has that happened?

Anywho... Because I do not have depth of knowledge of his case- I am simply questioning whether 1.4 BILLION dollars might be excessive.

If you dissected every thing he’s alleged over the years, you’d be surprised at what his batting average is.

The hoax doesnt make it more or less painful, if your child was shot. Its obvious some kids died. Their parents trying to financially gain from a podcast that throws out random theories, is grotesque, at the least.
Courts using children's deaths to silence a political opponent is a straight path to hell.

Wasn’t this a default after he totally refused to engage in discovery?

Maybe Alex Jones is 99.9% in the wrong.

He is still protected constitutionally from excessive fines and penalties under the 8th Amendment... or one would think.

Exactly, you could literally MOAB some towns and it would probably result in a lower payout than this judgement.

one of the persons who was a big winner in that sandy hook judgement was an fbi officer who was one of the first responders. he had no children involved. somehow he was allowed in on the grift.

Here is a rundown on what the harassers faced..

Andrew David Truelove stole a memorial sign - sentenced to one year in prison.

Matthew Mills, harassed a sister of a deceased teacher - given a suspended sentence of one year in jail and two years' probation.

Lucy Richards, 4 counts of death threats - sentenced to five months' imprisonment

Wolfgang Halbig, unauthorized possession of personal information of Leonard Pozner - don't know the sentence, wiki doesn't say, but the max is one year imprisonment.

I did not see any financial penalties, much less outrageous ones, applied to them.

Democrat politicians and the mainstream DNC propaganda media do it every day... But they are perfectly fine.

You realize he's been right about way more than he's been wrong about, right? If you don't know that you should do some research.

They are Alex Jones fans so they are obviously living in poverty. Successful people don’t listen to that loon.

Put yourself in their shoes. Calling a grieving parent that was going through the worst thing a parent can experience a "crisis actor" isnt just random silly conspiracy theory. If you were a parent and your family was harassed to the point of having to move b/c of the crazy shite Jones promoted to his listeners would you just throw up your hands and say ..well he has the right to say that shite with out consequence? No father would allow that to happen to their family without repercussions ....legal or extra judicial.
