Okay, then don't recognize any marriage at any level of government. Easy fix.

Morally acceptable =/= legal. Plenty of Republicans might find it sinful but not want the state getting involved for a variety of reasons.

So it's even less than the polls you cited.

Expect support for a reversal to be much closer to 30% than >50%.

The poll showed that 68 percent of Americans overall supported the right to same-sex marriage, a percentage that has remained relatively similar since 2021.

You're such a little weasel, posting the 64% think it's immoral instead of, you know, what we're actually talking about, the 68% that support the right, because you're trying to save face.

Over 50%... You're on conservative forums too much.

I’m sure I can find some research into asking the questions more related to overturning the case, or at least asking if it should be treated like Roe was. Gimme a bit to search it out. Once I get back to my work computer I can use the system on it specifically built to query research data. I’m currently on my phone.

Idk why you’re being so rude

I admitted in the very first sentence I was wrong and overestimated what I recalled in my memory, while again admitting I conflated republican support with overall support. Then linked the direct article I pulled the quotes from, I wasn’t being malicious, as I just said I’m on my phone and just pulled a few quotes I happened to have up that seemed relevant; while linking the whole article. Again, while I admitting I was wrong in the first sentence, while including in the quotes the much higher % of democrats and independent support

The 68% was the sentence before the 64% figure. You had to read past it to see the one you quoted.

Sure, sure, but you were also quick to point out "you were wrong too."

32% is much closer to the 25-30% figure I guessed than the overall 50% figure you said you saw.

Again, I didn’t make some grand declaration about how much more or less either of us were wrong in comparison to one another.

Nor was it my intention to try to deflect from me being wrong by saying you were wrong too. I just said a pretty simple thought that we both were wrong. I apologize I didn’t castrate myself enough going into detail to the degree each of us were wrong. I’ll try to do better.

Also this is pretty stupid to call me a “weasel” when I very clearly wasn’t trying to hide anything or maliciously hide or manipulate the specific Gallup poll in the conversation. I opened with admitting I was wrong, my reason for why I was wrong in my mind, opened the article in the other tab on my phone and just pulled the two quotes that happened to be where I was at on the page that seemed to represent the three major groups of voters in the country, then linked the entire thing for you or anyone else to comb over

You crazy fundamentalists all are going to be bigly mad at Trump when he instructs congress make gay marriage law. Trump doesn't hate gay people and has them in this administration. It won't make a bit of difference if the Supreme Court overturns it.

You know nothing about me. Please describe, in detail, how I’m a crazy fundamentalist using more than just my specific views on gay marriage whatever they may or may not be, as I have explained in this thread a few times how I’m not a “fundamentalist” about this issue nor am I religious so I doubt I’d fit the mold you’re attempting to paint me into.

I’ve also been on this forum since 2012 so surely you can find other issues to link me to this crazy fundamentalism you claim me to be a part of

People have posted ITT as well as others related to the topic in the past 24 hours how this just simply isn’t how gay men act when they get married. They’re the most promiscuous people on the planet regardless of relationship status. Wrong again boomer Roger

Wow a gay couple that chose to adopt a girl? That’s incredibly rare. Did you search for that specific picture on purpose

His post was about Trump's likelihood to introduce federal legislation, not specifically the Constitution.

I wasn't referring to you specifically. You were the first post so that's where I hit the reply button. I was speaking generally.
