Anyone have anything or links reporting what the Republican Party is doing about the Supply chains? We know the Marxists want us to Starve.
Invoking a national Emergency or getting a coalition of states to go after Buttplug and the Port Unions?

It's a manufactured crisis to produce a desired effect, why would they do anything about it until/unless they've reached their intended goal?

Only DeSantis is providing a solution AFAIK: unload in Florida.

This has been the left’s plan all along. Nothing is going to be done about it on their end.

DeSantis is trying to get ships to use FL ports rather than CA ports.

Which Republican would you like to do this? And under what authority?

Now, if you want to blame Republicans in this debacle, you can fully blame them for creating an environment and incentives that sent our businesses and manufacturing capabilities overseas... That would stick to them a little better...

They have to be ignoring the Third World at large at this point. There’s no way millions haven’t starved to death due to the disruption of the supply lines. I’m willing to bet it’s killed more than Covid itself.

Need to make life painful for California if they going to screw around with unloading ships that the rest of the country needs. Maybe trucks need to stop shipping food to California.

Are you sure these disruptions are not primarily aimed at the U.S.?

All of them, they need to get a coalition of states to invoke the Commerce Claus.
We know Stunk Ginger Joe and the Marxist that surround him won’t declare a National emergency.

quote:

The Commerce Clause of the United States Constitution provides that the Congress shall have the power to regulate interstate and foreign commerce. The plain meaning of this language might indicate a limited power to regulate commercial trade between persons in one state and persons outside of that state.

I realize you think this is a gotcha but, what the hell COULD Republicans do about it?

We told everyone that you can't shut down an economy for several month and think it's just gonna turn back on like nothing happened.

None of us has a time machine to go back in time and eliminate Democrat governments in key port states. And, none of us can prevent the money printing presses from continuing.

All we can do at this point is say "Told ya so" and feel bad for others like us while mocking any and all liberals who bitch about it now.

Yeah, not really how this works... I think Congress can declare war, maybe they need to do that...

Cool

You can cut and paste.

Last I checked, Democrats control congress. But hell, even if they were 100% Republicans now, do you even understand the nature of the backlog? The damage is already done. You can't magically expand port capacity and, you can't magically increase the number of truckers.

We turned the shite off for SEVERAL MONTHS! And, there is now, nor has there EVER BEEN available capacity to make up for that kind of stupidity.

Question, is the sole issue transportation on the chain, but also the production of said goods?

Chickens not getting to your local store has little to do with ports. Computer chips say in Asia are not producing at the rate needed.

Everything is fricked up and most out here called it in 2020.

- production is fricked
- transportation is fricked
- energy supply is fricked in some areas
- labor force is fricked
- government working against commerce

Exactly what in the hell do you want the minority party to do?

The Republican Party does not run the railroad, does not keep the time of arrival ....but let the damned thing jump the tracks and watch all hell break loose.

California has a history of summer trends where more freight is going east than what is going west. That means ...Full trucks come out .....but few full trucks go in. To buck this trend ...this gaggle of stupid politicians needs to arrive at a solution to get deadhead trucks to the docks to carry out full containers to midwest distribution centers. That means that empty containers need to be taken back into those same docks. Those ships will not the docks until empty containers are loaded to be taken to China for a new load of goods and products.

Exactly what is the Republican Party, the minority party supposed to do?

I'm puzzled at the question and the post .....Stay the hell out of it. Biden and the Democrats are screwing this up more than enough all by themselves.
