You only lose money if you sell stocks during down turns. Buy, hold, retire early.

Common misconception.

You actually make money on green days.

Neither is actually true.

You make money when you sell. Otherwise it's just value going up and down.

Have they always been over-reactionary pussies? And if so, is it good economics to put such emphasis on the decisions of these people?
Thanks for announcing yourself as the low-information voter you are. You obviously have no idea how "stock market traders" function to begin with. Idiot.

The big drop was after hours so it was hedge funds taking advantage of the situation.

Probably because of the time the tariffs were published.

Not me. My SPOT is only down about 1/2%.

Netflix is actually up today, probably due in part to the fact that their propaganda film is now required viewing for British school children.

In your mind there's like 100 "stock market traders" that are "causing" today's price action. You couldn't have a more ignorant perspective if you tried. Congrats.

There are day traders that will trade after hours but I would bet its less than 5%. Hedge Funds are known for pushing markets in after hours. I've traded after hours and premarket hours before but I stay away from that now. Its just too risky.

The stock market is always hyper sensitive to any change, either up or down. Always. Always.
When employment numbers are released, changes in interest rates, rumors of war or conflict, on and on....

I would say the same for you but taking a quick look at your posting history it's a pretty safe assumption that you don't have any money...

Yes. It's a good time to pick up some really under priced stocks. The key is always when to jump in and buy.

That's been a problem in this country for a while. Letting emotions dictate decisions.
