DOW down 200 this morning as the honeymoon nears an end. The Dems want the market sell off to start so they can recoup taxes made on gains. Biden’s policies already starting to rattle Wall Street. Get out while you can. Business friendly environment has stopped

I’m sure it’s coming at some point but 200 points is nothing

I'm holding off too, but I don't really know why. I know what's to come.

DOW down 200 this morning
So you think a market decline of -.6% is significant??

I stopped all my 401k contributions. I’m moving all assets to bank accounts and buying properties.

Exactly. The corporatists have won and they will reap the rewards. Small business owners will take it in the shorts for years to come. MOST will not survive.

A correction is coming, but it has more to do with a 40% run up than anything else.

I understand Gold.
Why cash? The money printer goes brrrrr. I'd value stock(in companies with tangible assets). Over cash.

As much as I am not on board with Biden, I am not going to worked up when the market is down 0.56%

Wake me up when it is down 10%, so I can buy

Just a temporary measure....me and Edward Jones have been talking about possible allocations.

Do annuities help with this taxation. Not a finance person..

Cash is king for the moment. If you're not used to making changes at least every few months or so, then consider going cash or something more safe atm. Once the printer gets going, then consider getting back in or at least gold.

Can we not do this every time it drops and inevitably rises only to drop again?

Both sides look foolish. Let's wait a bit and see what kind of actual trend emerges and then maybe decide what caused it.

I know that's no fun, but these threads always look stupid by the end of the day

It's just a buying opportunity created by Democrats.

Investing is not a political game.

I increased mine 2%. Because buying cheap is good, and selling later at a higher price is the goal.

I still have 20 years to invest, though.
