Billionaire Democratic donor Tom Steyer will reportedly make an announcement regarding his political future at an event in Des Moines, Iowa on Wednesday.
It has been rumored for months that Steyer was considering a 2020 presidential campaign for months, something he all but confirmed when he admitted that his political organization had posted job openings for a possible presidential campaign during an interview last month.
Steyer significantly increased his national profile over the last two years by dumping $50 million into his “Need to Impeach” campaign against President Trump.
During the 2018 midterm elections, Steyer spent a staggering $110 million to help Democratic candidates, register voters in key states, and grow a grassroots network across America.
