It wouldnt be very shocking to learn that he planned to turn himself in at, say, 9am - and they kicked down his door at 8am.

"Steve Bannon, a onetime political adviser to former President Donald Trump, surrendered Thursday to authorities in New York to face charges linked to his role in "We Build the Wall," an online fundraising campaign for a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Bannon spoke to reporters after arriving to turn himself in, saying the charges were "all about 60 days to the election."
"This is an irony, on the very day the mayor of this city has a delegation down on the border, they are persecuting people here who try to stop them on the border," Bannon said.
Political prisoners.

Election manipulation.

They say he and his partners scammed people who donated money to build a border wall by taking money.

I think it's not so cut and dried that he did. Frankly it would be extremely dumb on his part knowing the microscope he is under.
Meanwhile it's well known BLM leaders have ensconced with millions and all we hear are crickets.

Any lawyers that can explain how you can be charged for a crime you were already pardoned for? Is he charged with a different, but similar, crime? Is this just a complete political prosecution?
