Not sure how that can be if he was suspended from school. That generally also includes suspension from extracurricular activities.

There's been no official reporting or confirmation that he was suspended at the time of the event.
I believe he HAD had a suspension or something similar... but it had passed.
There is a LOT of bad info out there- there are a few reporters/journalists that get to attend each day. Everyone else is throwing spaghetti at the wall.
Would you like some suggestions on who to look for with regards to in-court, confirmed reporting?

As a former HS track athlete, frick this guy and I hope he gets a max sentence. There is no place for weapons or even violence in the sport. I wish the death penalty on him, but at 17 he will probably get 20.

While he very well may have been suspended at some point, he was not suspended that day- according to reporting from the courtroom.
