Good news is, the dems have a solution. Just eliminate these tests! You can’t fail a test if you don’t take it.

Not a dem.. diehard republican, but these test do need to be eliminated. Biggest crock of shite in education. Students are not learning valuable information, they are being taught to pass a test, not learn. So much pressure on teachers and students both with these test, they dont even learn anything except how to pass these test.

For real. When my kids went to public schools, that’s all they ever talked about. Improving scores so they’d get more money and recognition. All the while, my kids didn’t learn shite. When we moved them to proper schools, they were behind and had to work hard just to catch up.

MS schools have done a complete 180 the past several years. Outside of Jackson, they are really good.

I teach in Oxford and our scores went down amongst the least. We were in school the majority of the year, however. I would love to see the data on how much lower certain schools dropped based on how long they were virtual. The Delta and other majority black school districts were much more likely to educate remotely.

Mississippi went from 50th to 29th in test scores which is a minor miracle. COViD killed that momentum. Looks like we are going to be 44th or so. Everyone hasn’t released their scores.

I am not sure about that honestly. Some states were majority full year remote. I could see those states dropping more than we did.

Not shocking at all

Talked with several teachers about online learning and how that went and they more than tripled the summer school students this year due to so many kids not meeting online requirements to advance through the grades

It was a disaster

The dumbing down of America continues. And once again, the people hit hardest are minorities, the very people they say they are helping

And kids in the poor socio-economic class (predominantly people of color) were significsntly morr disadvatanged. Many private schools powered through last year and this year with in class instruction.

The gap only got wider between the haves and have nots. And the Democrats know and welcome that.

Yea, people like Gavin Newsome’s kid never stopped going to school, and the kid didn’t wear a mask anywhere

I wouldn't be surprised if that happened in every state.
