What if he’s not crazy or believes crazy things, and is 100% correct?

Will you need a psychological evaluation now?

Using mental health officials to remove wrongthinkers is part of the communist agenda. It's sad to see so many "conservatives" and "patriots" supporting it.

What will it take for people on this board to stop entertaining the idea that what he is saying might be true?? If he comes out and says he has evidence that Mike Pence and John Roberts are actually lizard people will you say "What if he’s not crazy or believes crazy things, and is 100% correct?"

What will it take for the fricking leftists on this board to speak and defend this ongoing CURRENT train wreck rather than waste copious amounts of time on bullshite that does not matter?

The State Bar of Georgia is not GTLA. Even GTLA has very few "leftists" though it has a large number of liberals.

Is it crazy to believe that Donald Trump was a puppet of the Russian government? Is it crazy to believe that some high school kids were bullying a native American and Vietnam vet? What about the Olympic park bombing? There is a long list of things which we were told we’re absolutely true, but then turned out to be complete works of fiction. What has Lin Wood said that sounds all that different than what the establishment told us to believe ??

I confess that I don’t know his full array of claims, but looking at the balance of his work versus what the media/government has told us to believe, Lin Woods ledger of work is far more in the black than in the red.

Wow...The GOP has become the party of David Icke. I would expect this from the blue color people but now the white collar has gone full retard.

Maybe you should start a thread asking the board leftists this. I thought this thread was about Lin Wood.

Why do you assume I’m Republican??

I’m not, FYI.

Why are YOU on board with institutional corruption & establishment wrong-think gestapo tactics??

Ummm.......Maybe that Mike Pence and John Roberts are pedophiles? That Epstein is still alive? That agents of the world's intelligence services kidnap powerful politicians and make them rape and murder a child to use as blackmail? That Hillary Clinton tortured a child and cut off its face and wore it?

This is an outrageous abuse of power. Lawyers have been the vanguard of constitutional protections for centuries. Requiring some yahoo with a social science degree to determine whether an attorney with an impeccable professional reputation is mentally fit to continue practice is chilling and straight out the Soviet playbook.

Up until about a year and a half ago, I would agree. The litigation he is embroiled in with his former partners certainly brought his mental health into question in a public way.

Have any of his clients filed complaints against him? Seems like that would be a primary consideration in the determination of whether action against him by the bar association is warranted. If no complaints by clients....it seems like overreach IMO.

Isn’t that for the courts to decide in the course of litigation?

I think he is a nut and a plant; but let Weissmann go before the bar association first.

I don't know if anyone has filed a complaint. That being said I know a LOT more about the mental stability of my partners and associates than any of their clients do unless they also happen to be close friends of theirs. Having defended attorneys in disbarment proceedings the majority of the substantiated complaints come from the legal community and not clients which of course does not include the "I lost so my lawyer sucks" complaints.

As I said before I do not think he is impaired under the rules, I, however, do think he has some crazy ideas which could produce poor representation of certain clients where their cases overlap with these ideas, that does not mean he is unfit.

Yeah, I have to acknowledge that I'm far from knowing all the pertinent details about this situation, so mine is a 30k foot observation. But I do think it's reasonable to say that when it comes to "emotionally charged" litigation there will most always be one or both sides accusing the other of literally being "crazy" because of the allegations being leveled. And also any third parties who are paying attention may well opine in similar ways, for whatever reason. All that to say it just seems like too much subjectivity is involved in trying to determine whether a party to litigation is actually "crazy" due to the position(s) they take. Slippery slope scenario IMO. Again, just a 30k foot view.
