Routinely homeless, schizophrenic and with an IQ below 55, Larry Eugene Price, Jr., wandered into the small northwest Arkansas police station on August 19, 2020, as he did nearly every day. Police in the town, Fort Smith, were used to seeing Price, then 50, coming in, hanging around for a bit, then leaving.

But on that late summer day, Price, also diagnosed with bipolar disorder and having PTSD, used his finger like a gun to point around the station and at officers, threatening and cursing at those present. Officers, seemingly concerned for his wellbeing and the safety of those in the station, arrested him on a state felony – terroristic threatening in the first degree.

quote:

From then, everything else that could have gone wrong for Price did. His mind lost, his health gone – and seemingly no one paying attention to his wellbeing – Price was dead a year later at 51. He was found in a solitary confinement cell with his eyes wide open, naked, starved, dried saliva on the corners of his mouth, in a pool of standing water so large his feet had shriveled. He had long since had his medication taken away. Toward the end, he had resorted to eating his own feces and drinking his own urine.

Maybe if we stopped sending lawyers and social workers to the border to process illegal immigrants we could use check on the well being of Americans. Maybe if civil rights lawyers spend more time concerned about the well being of people in police custody that were still alive instead of getting on tv and suing the police for nice payday after someone is killed by the police stuff like this would not happen.

I remember when Newsweek published something true. It was back in 1961. It was a warm humid day in August when I entered the library.

The guy was not exactly a productive member of society but we still can’t have people starve to death in county jail. Assuming that’s what really happened. I mean damn.

The jail had been under DOJ for the eleven years for various abuses.

So why didn’t one of them bail him out?

In this day and time, $100 is not that hard to raise.

I’ll look for all the threads you’ve started regarding the treatment of J6 defendants

Jail and prison is society's only answer for the mentally ill now.

Very very suspicious contentions. Price was positive for COVID at the time of examination. Is that important? The author claims Larry Eugene Price, Jr. weighed 200 pounds at arrest and 90 at death. The author is lying on both accounts. Why?

My guess is that his family didn't know he was in jail. He had cognitive and developmental delays, PTSD, bipolar disorder and paranoid schizophrenia. I can almost promise you that he didn't call his family to let them know he had been arrested.

That is a major problem. It is a separate issue from the OP innuendos

With a 55 IQ and his mental health problems, he should not be allowed alone in society. He needed to be in an institution or some type facility. He is literally mentally retarded.
