He’s still a delusional leftie, and too emotional at times, but he is better informed than 90% of the hacks on the left.

You don’t have to agree with me, but I do ask that you be able to articulate with more than just sand in your bits.

I’ll give him a mulligan for the whitelash crap. Tough to take a punch like they did that night and not look like an idiot.

He seems like a legit nice dude. And he’ll actually concede a point when there’s one be conceded. His politics are insane, but he’s not at all mean spirited. I enjoy watching him debate someone like say... Newt.

Actually Ben Shapiro defended him on today’s pod as well. I don’t get it. I think he throws bait out that that occasionally sounds reasonable but he’s clearly a far far leftie

Van jones is a George Soros backed hack... in the sense that he’s a capitalist and well informed I respect him. In terms of anything that comes out of his mouth - run farrr Farr away and play loud music to empty your brain of that filth. Otherwise you’ll end up wearing a dog costume in public and getting downvotes hard

frick your mulligan.

He accused millions of white people (lots of whom voted for Obama) of being racist and voting for Trump because they hated that we had a black President which is total BS and just encourages division.

He's honestly probably the best CNN has to offer. That's not really a complement, but it's true. At least the guy is a huge free speech advocate, will talk with people he disagrees with without demonizing them, and thinks liberal college campuses are total bullshite. I'm not sure if really any of his colleagues (certainly not hacks like Don Lemon or Chris Cuomo) agree with this. I think he may be the only one on CNN capable of actually arguing instead of just doing "How Dare You" to anyone who disagrees with him.

To be fair, he's pretty openly regretted that statement. He woke up the next day and certainly realized there were probably millions of people who voted for Obama twice and then voted for Trump. He did a piece proving his statements on election night wrong: LINK

Van Jones is one of those guys with some kooky views that I'd like to sit down and have a beer with to have a civil political discussion. Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo I'd just throw my beer right in their face. Van is capable of some self reflection, while those clowns aren't and demonize everyone who doesn't agree with them.

Almost like President Obama, my disagreements with him were policy-based never personal he portrays himself as a real personable, cool dude outside the lines

And THAT is the problem. Ask Dinesh D'Souza whether Obama/Jones' nice personality in any way bridles the pernicious and hurtful policy they promote and practice. Lucifer was the "shining angel".

Latter Days..."by peace, He will slay many". Things are not always as they appear. "By their FRUITS ye will know them".

Van Jones, unlike Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo, isn't trying to silence me though. He's repeatably shown that he will engage with these people he disagrees with and try to learn from them. I think Van Jones is one of the select few who is serious when he says "we need to have a discussion". 95% of people who say this are full of shite and are actually saying "we only need to have my discussion and silence anyone who disagrees with the narrative".

Hes the person I've watched that most seems to be playing a part. I don't think he's quite the leftist he portrays.

Well, in that analogy, I blame the fly. The spider is doing what spiders do.

Like I said, I don’t agree with him, but I could talk with him for a while. Dude owned his biases and went out to talk to Trump voters in the heartland. None of the others on his side did this, and he owned up to learning some things.
