And if Starbucks is anything like the tech CEOs that donate to Democrats every year, they'll pay them significantly less than their American counterparts.

You mean the place that openly lies to its costumers is hiring non Americans over unemployed Americans?
Busted for their advertising that their coffee is 100% arabica... Testing showed the amount of caffeine made that impossible. It's a mix with robusta, which has 4 times the amount of caffeine as arabica.
Just saying

In addition, Schultz also wrote about Starbucks’ operations in Mexico. Social media users in Mexico had called for boycotts of US companies, including Starbucks.
“We have been open for business in Mexico since 2002, and have since opened 600 stores in 60 cities across the country, which together employ over 7,000 Mexican partners who proudly wear the green apron. We have sourced coffee from Mexico’s producers and their families for three decades and last fall, we also announced the creation of a farmer support center in Chiapas to help accelerate our collective ability to grow and export some of the world’s finest coffees from this important growing region, while donating more than $2 million to support the livelihood, food security and water quality of coffee producing communities in Oaxaca,” Schultz wrote.
Isn't that cute.

It involves 75 countries over a 5 year period. I would hope they don't plan on firing current employees and mean by normal attrition.
I have never been to a Starbucks and have no opinion regarding their hiring practice.

They said they were hiring them in 75 countries and giving preference to the ones who assisted our troops abroad.

I always wanted to have coffee in a refugee camp replete with barbed wire and people living in tents. Great business move!

Now 6 people will handle your coffee cup instead of 4.

Hope they all have their shots up to date. Don't want unhealthy people serving coffee.

I'm okay with this.
In Germany, untold numbers of refugees basically showed up with no skills, no desire to work and no hope of being productive members of society.
If America is going to bring in 10,000 people who will get jobs, so be it. Starbucks should be hiring Americans - of any ethnicity, to be clear - but I have no issue with refugees who will be productive.

Middle Easterners make better baristas than transsexual hippies with blue hair and hoop earrings anyway. I'm on board with this.

What countries were impacted by Trump's executive order?
Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Iran, Somalia, Libya and Yemen
Guess how many Starbucks franchises are in located in these 7 countries?
The answer is zero. Even starbucks, for all their righteous bluster, has the sense to stay out of these hell holes.
