By your logic, how can you speak about the whole state when you live San Diego? In that case you can only speak about SD.

Again what makes you think the whole state is going red for sure in 2020.

I lived in California for a while. It’s not for everyone, myself included. It’s most enviable quality is the geography/scenery. The people mostly suck and the state thrives despite them and not as a resul of.

This state is not going red anytime soon. The people who bought a home in the 80's will keep it that way until they die off.

It's my prediction. I'm sorry it bothers you.

How effing stupid and asleep do you have to be to move from a state due to their Marxist policies and still vote for the same people?

The same mindset that thinks the only reason communism hasn't worked anywhere is because the "right people" (i.e., them) weren't in charge.

But how can you make a prediction for the whole state since you live in San Diego? According to you, you can only make predictions and statements about the city you live in. And it’s not like you’re simultaneously living in every California city at once.

Your predictions are based off no actual facts or stats. Only based off of hope and anecdotal evidence.

Of course you can make a prediction. Doesn’t mean you’re right in any way.

Btw, I REALLY don’t like liberals, California’s weird arse politics, socialism, etc. For some reason, some people on this board think that because someone doesn’t agree with them, that makes them a flaming liberal.

San Diego is as conservative as Monroe. Huge military presence.

Largest city in the US with a republican mayor. Definitely not representative of the entire state, though.

California has a middle class outmigration problem but these people are moving to red states and still voting blue.
this is a real problem and it’s such bs. Leave because you are getting screwed by the policies of California yet move and vote for more of the same people.

We are stuck in the old red vs blue way of thinking.

In that paradigm, Texas is a lost cause and the country will vote Democrat forever.

The truth is that people don’t want what either party is selling. A third way is coming, and sooner rather than later.

Hispanic birth rate is more than double than white people in California.

It's not just that white people are leaving, the white liberals aren't having babies.

But the parts of California that go red - are mostly old white guys and Latinos.

Latinos aren't sheep, they just don't vote blue. Rural agricultural California is all Red.

Yeah this isn’t even remotely true.

People are leaving because they don’t want to pay for the cost of living there anymore. It’s no longer worth the upcharge as the state continues its decline. I don’t know a single company that has operations in California that truly pays their employees a fair COLA adjustment.

If you move to Texas and do the exact same job you essentially get a massive pay increase.

Yeah, I agree with DT. Ive been here a year and a half, and this certainly isnt true. The salaries are higher, but not "enormous", far from it, actually. Compare the average salary of any professional vocation, pharmacy, MD, PT, etc. It is higher, but not 100%+ higher like the cost of renting/buying a comparable home. Gas is 4 dollars a gallon, compared to mid 2's back in Louisiana. Nothing makes up for a sharp increase like this.

People pay for the weather here, at least that's the anecdotal evidence I've ascertained since I've been here. The unintelligent liberals here are bad, but you dont run into them every single day, just like the unintelligent back woods conservatives in rural Louisiana. I like the state for now. Jerry Brown is atrocious, just as his successor will be. Grand admirations and dreams with no way of funding them. People will leave. Anyone saying CA will go red in 2020 is under the assumption inland (not to be confused with the inland empire) CA and SD will overtake other coastal populations, which wont happen. I understand their frustrations, though. They are paying tax dollars only put to use on the coast. The difficulty in starting a ground up business here compared to pretty much anywhere else makes market entry exclusive to those with already established businesses elsewhere. None of this is a recipe of success, that is for sure.
