DEVELOPING: Sources say special prosecutor Bash is looking @ Obama admin's "to/from/about" queries related to NSA's upstream collections of FISA Sec 702 data going back to 2015 & earlier, which include collections involving US citizens & the use of that raw data by FBI contractors

Most people didn't even know this dude was on the job until a couple days ago. Sounds like he is putting in work.

4 years on from Obama and “putting in work” equals unnamed source leaks about an investigation. This stuff has been in the public domain for years now

What do you wet rags think you are doing when you go into every thread to spread this negativity?

What does it accomplish?

These things take time. I don't understand why that's so hard for people to understand.

The only investigation we have ever ran in this country that resulted in prison for a cabinet level or higher official was the Teapot Dome investigation.

It took seven years for that investigation to bear any fruit. People thinking this shite should be wrapped up by now are being unreasonable. If they're able to bring charges in Trump's first term it will be a miracle, imo. And I think they're gonna do it.

I think I know why. It's that human nature to be drawn to negativity. In this case that means up front taking a position that nothing will happen, and then literally advocate for nothing to happen from then on out. It's a strange phenomenon.

And you're exactly right, from a place of experience with the legal aspects of a federal investigation, there's simply not a thing unusual about the time component of this matter. Completely within typical time frames at this point. Does that mean that everyone we wish to be busted and prosecuted will be so, heck no. Just depends on the evidence they are able to secure, and that type of evidence doesn't just grow on trees.

It seriously doesn't require being a lawyer to quickly grasp this stuff. That's why I'm suspicious it's just that will to be pessimistic.

I agree.

A lot of it may be ego driven, that desire to advocate for nothing to happen.

You can thank a biased media for that. Without them asking the tough questions that are warranted the old adage "out of sight out of mind" is appropriate.

Agree completely!

It is as though this is a new participation sport.

Cast aspersions without any real or pertinent commentary.

You'd be surprised at how complicated these things can get. Or always get rather. It's only one of the most potentially consequential investigations of a very wide ranging political scandal involving the highest levels of American government that we've ever seen in this country.

Dude. Seriously? I know you pay better attention than this. Those NSA programs are on the books for a reason. The Democrats used them inappropriately. They broke the law doing what they did. But the thing is, they're actually guilty of the very thing they used as a predicate to spy on Trump (colluding with a foreign agent). They did exactly that with Christopher Steele.

You can bet your arse he has had them under NSA surveillance. Except, he has proper predicate to do so. The other side had a sack full of bullshite when they got their warrants.

The NSA is being used as a tool to take these frickers down right now, and that's a good thing. It's NSA vs CIA. For now, I'm siding with the NSA as they back POTUS.
