That nomination speech for Johnson seemed much more high energy than the other GOP nominees since this whole thing started

Well, I take back my statement about Republicans not reacting to the Dems nomination speech since they just did. It didn't happen last week though.

So, is Johnson going to pull this off?
Huge if so.
Huge if so.

I think so. That is why they guy mentioned that the speaker pro tempore was smiling. They know it is a done deal.

The more I read about Mike Johnson, the more I like him.
On September 29th he said:
"We're not doing [Continuing Resolutions] anymore. We're doing instead a messy process of doing 12 separate small spending bills that are single subject. It takes more time. It's a messier process. But in the end, I think it'll be good for the American people cause we're trying to curtail spending and the growth of government.”
This was way before the Speaker’s race so he’s not just talking stuff to get elected.
Plus, he’s a Constitutional Attorney.

The weeks of uncertain appear to have paid off well.
Much like a coaching search, it getting done quick doesn’t necessarily mean it was done right.

She's a democrat, so it was probably dumb.

Exactly.
The Dems all got their marching orders and voted same person 100% just like a good dictatorship would.
The Pubs had discourse and frustration and concessions just like our founders wanted and expected.
