Nooooo... You're right, we should totally trust Elon. It's just a coincidence that Tesla stock has gone down significantly lately, there is a massive global boycott of their vehicles, other EV producers are taking over huge markets around the globe, the entire left and globalists hate him, say he's a Nasi, want him imprisoned, or even worse... The Tesla Board has been rumored to have been considering ousting him... then the bill he has known about for months and been in on, may pass... but his EV subsidies are cut... and he flips his shite. Just all a coincidence.
I just can't believe that the guy that stands to benefit immensely from EV subsidies, under all the circumstances above--that are pretty recent--would be upset about losing those subsidies at this time. Trump AND Johnson could only be lying about that!

The subsidies have not been static for years. It’s not unreasonable - actually, it is reasonable to assume that something in this bill is hurting him financially more than he expected.
The dude went nuclear today, I doubt he expected to have final say so on what is and isn’t in the bill. His behavior was not savvy at all. Being hurt personally is the best explanation for the behavior.
