I will add Baltimore for Maryland. There are more.

Correct. Get this—if you removed the largest city and its metro area from every state, almost every state would be red!

I don’t understand the point of those comments.

“If I removed everything in Louisiana outside of Caddo, EBR, and Orleans parish, Louisiana would be blue!” Is that supposed to mean something?

I’m assuming you aren’t either.

Keep telling yourself that. If Mamdani actually follows through on his campaign policies, NYC will bankrupt itself.

You know who will be given the bill? The American taxpayers.

You are kidding yourself if you think the Federal Government won’t bailout NYC should it collapse. Little noticed during the COVID-1984 hysteria was the announcement by the Fed that they are willing to backstop the muni-bond market.

Ny st w/out NY. So 3 million instead of 12? Gawrsh, that doesn’t make any difference does?

...
You mean 11.5 million?

NY State is ~20 Million

NY City is about 8.5 Million

A simple google search would tell you.

If my aunt had balls… you know the rest.

He’s not going to come close to being able to do half of what he promised those idiots who voted for him.

Outside of Covid, has the US government ever given a straight bailout to a major municipality in bankruptcy? Loans are one thing—but a “bailout”? I’m unaware of it ever happening. It didn’t happen in the 70’s and 80’s when NYC was bankrupt. Or the mid 2000’s with Detroit

They just don’t share your rigid views.
That doesn’t make them “radical”.

Most of America doesn’t share the extreme MAGA POV on most things. Virginia is going to be fine…

Spanberger also isn’t some raging progressive psychopath either. She was pretty reasonable in her time in the House, relatively speaking.

Virginia is a fabulous state. I enjoyed living in NOVA in the late 80’s to 90’s. The power metrics of big government have ruined everything within 100 miles of DC. They make nothing, create nothing, but thrive on the taxpayer’s contributions. We have so little knowledge of the vast abuse of taxpayer funds, but much of it gets gobbled up in that 100 mile radius. The votes flow from the money. No surprises here.

That is why you fail in your arguments. Most of America does share this view.

Yes it means everything but you cannot see the Forrest because of the trees. The grass root people do not want the craziness of the left BS. The ending of this story will be similar to Rome. Great empires are built by great people. Empires are demolished by those that are not. History repeats itself unless you learn from history.

Outside of Covid?

One of the main lessons of the COVID-1984 ordeal is that under the guise of a national crisis, the Federal Government will enact unparalleled assaults on our freedoms and likewise micromanage the entire economy in unprecedented ways.

You actually are making my point.

I hear this all the time. Anyone that follows politics can’t be serious if they think elections are secure and honest.
