At some point, it is getting too close to the elections to change districts around as a practical matter.
So, the Constitution should take a backseat to practicality?
I'm with you. It's not practical to give citizenship to the babies of foreigners. It's not practical to allow Islam in a country based on freedom. It's not practical to allow communists and socialists in a capitalistic society. It's not practical to have long-term welfare.
If we're going to throw out the Constitution for practicality, let's go all the way and fix this mess.

The mother fricker that gave us Biden.
And, more importantly, Kamala. (At the time Biden was the safest choice, on paper. Combing COVID with media top cover, I doubt even Clyburn knew how bad off Biden was in 2020.)

fricking cowards. All of them or traitors. Dems would have done it in every state by now

Goddamn “Republicans” are the most useless group of people on the planet. They don’t want to win.

All the softies in this thread saying not enough time.
I promise of the leftists were in same situation this would be done and done.
What if it does come down to one seat? Plus the constituents are losing their voice by not moving forward.
Pubs just love to lose. Intentional too.

No one has held SC’s map to be unconstitutional, which is why I singled Louisiana out in my post.

And everyone got excited about all these new red districts.
Hardly none will be enacted. The few that will be offset by Dem states redistricting.
GOP is going to get slaughtered in midterms

Guys, if we get rid of Clyburn's seat blacks might vote something like 93% Dem. That would be a huge disaster
And they might stop liking us, too!

South Carolina is the fastest growing state. Who the hell you thinks been moving here? Rinos and liberals!

What’s your point? It’s still a red state. Ask Scrooster.

Here are the senators’ names. May be Germans, but it is worth repeating, especially for the SC baws on here.

South Carolina State Senator Tom Davis led the successful push to stop a controversial effort to redraw the state’s congressional districts just before the primary elections. He refused to support the plan—which was pushed by the White House—for several key reasons:Elections Were Already Underway: Davis argued it was fundamentally wrong to change the rules in the middle of a live election. Because early in-person voting had already started for the primaries, he asserted that changing the district lines would disenfranchise voters.A Rushed "Rubber Stamp" Process: He pointed out that the previous redistricting process required nine months of thorough community input and vetting. In contrast, the new map was forced through in just a few weeks.Outsourced to Washington: Davis strongly opposed surrendering the state's legislative independence to an out-of-state Washington, D.C. political consultant, noting that South Carolina lawmakers had no real role in shaping or vetting the map.Legal Vulnerability: He noted the rushed map was heavily flawed, poorly vetted, and even included split precincts and districts that no longer existed. He warned it would be an embarrassment if the flawed map got struck down by the courts
