The only thing worse than the Democratic Party is the Republican Party.

We've been lighting Shane up since early this morning. I am one of his constituents and I know the guy through fellow friends in the SC House and Senate.

If he fails to right the ship on this poor decision of his ... he'll face a lot of backlash and he'll be put out of office.

His is one of the redest districts in the country and probably the deepest red district in this state. Lexington, Aiken, Saluda, McCormick and Edgefield.

He's really playing with fire on this one. The SCOTUS has spoken.

With that in mind, we're only talking one federal seat here ... Jim Clyburn's. That's it for the state of SC.

But Clyburn has got to go.

Looks like Georgia should be able to pick up one seat easily . Possibly get 3 of the 5 democrats .

I think when someone intentionally interferes with voting in America, that person should do hard time for a minimum of 15 years w/o parole or be put to death. It is their choice.

I'm not so sure. Considering the admonitions I have received for suggesting harsher sanctions, I think a time out is about the most that should be required.

Yup. The Deep State has its tentacles in state government too.

The GOPe is 100% determined to not do the right thing. Just like Ivey was forced, every state that has a court mandated minority district must be forced to create new maps.

They openly despise their constituents, so every legal avenue must be used to force them to comply.

Shane Massey just caved ... he's agreeing to do the right thing.

Clyburn is toast.

Where in the GA constitution does it prohibit him from following SCOTUS' ruling?

Governor’s, Senators, Congressmen, or State Representatives that stand on principle and don’t toe the party line is what politics should be. Politicians should represent their constituents and not the party. It shouldn’t be they do it so we’re gonna do it. More things would get done in Washington if people didn’t toe the party line and represent their constituents.

Do the majority of the people in the state want their districts to be gerrymandered? In Missouri the majority of people don’t want gerrymandered districts. It is on the ballot this fall and will pass

Politicians should not decide congressional districts
