Again, that is beyond a vile and disgusting thing to ever insinuate as just a human being, but you have to understand many blacks in South Africa for decades if not hundreds of years have privately though this, it is just shoking to some to hear an elected official say it. Ding ding thank you we have a winner, the narrative from Fox News that there is some sort of white widespread genocide is laughable, is it happening in rural provinces and on "farms" which to let you know are more like a plantation than a farm from an American perspective, absolutely that is happening and anytime life is take for any issue especially a hate crime is a serious problem, but it is not some sort of global epidemic. CNN and other liberal western media also reports the story just from a different lens, they report like it is some sort of revolution and that disenfranchised blacks are rising up against the evil white masters. So you see all of Western media and specifically American media has it wrong.

I am not disagreeing with either of you, that this is where it starts in the countryside and it first starts with the economic taking of land and resources by force, like Zimbabwe. But if it happens 20-30 years from now in South Africa imagine Zimbabwe times 50, because of South Africa's importance from both a geopolitical standpoint and its symbolic importance to the western world. The amount of different "tribes" and ethnicities and religious factions in South Africa is 20X if not more than what Zimbabwae has.

I have lived there, until you visit and live in the european and coastal cities then see how life is like in the inner and western/northern rural provinces I will yes claim to know more about what is going. By asking people I grew up and with and went to school with that still live there with their families what is really going on and how widespread it is. When they tell me there are falsehoods in the media im sorry I will believe them.

Disagree the west should and will fight to maintain economc control and protect our interests. Chinese investment goes unchecked and allowed in Mozambique, Kenya, Zambia and clusters of Western african nations like Liberia, Ghana, and Upper/Lower Guniea but South Africa means a lot to Americans for a number of reasons.

If I'm part of the government in a quickly "developing" country like Poland, I'd be making policy that attracts the highly educated and/or farmers of South Africa to my country and makes it very lucrative for them to settle there.

By "developing" I don't mean in the 3rd world sense, because that's not Poland. I mean "developing" in the sense that they're on the brink of being on the same level as the "big players" of the EU like UK, France, and Germany.

I'd be doing everything I can to bring these South African immigrants and plug them into the society and economy, to make my country become the de facto settling place for the skilled individuals. Soon you'd have a booming community of South Africans that just "recruits" itself. Give them perks and assistance with the move, deals on farmland and equipment, or ready-made jobs for those that are highly educated in other areas.

These are the type of people you need in your country to become one of the "big boys" and hopefully someone will use this opportunity wisely.

Agree with that, but which is worse the consolidation of power and military support by a select few that only have their interests in mind and the value of the rand taking a massive beating.
