First I have heard of it. Southern all my 6+ decades.

Maybe we can have a "honkys ride donkeys to the polls" day.
"Erections to the elections" day

The only recent thing I've seen, involved Glenn Beck marching with several downtown churches on MLK Day. The only protest involved the Birmingham Police telling BLM that they had to stand in a fenced area to keep both sides apart.

I was voting early in 2020 when 3 of their buses pulled up. Nice buses. Everyone with the same t-shirt. There’s some money behind this.

When I was a kid I used to ask my mom why our church services were so boring. Why can’t they be fun like the black churches?

Man I attended a Pentecostal church for a period of time and it was anything but "boring" .

But in fairness, it was still dull compared to the services at the local predominantly black church. I've never understood how traditional and historical black families and churches hold such overwhelming conservative values and yet still vote exclusively for Dims.

What states in the South are polls open? Georgia is not open.

Because black people are the only group that is told who to vote for. And when to vote. The other groups are smart enough to figure it out individually.

You left out the part about trading their vote for a Popeyes three-piece or carton of cigarettes.

No, only black churches are “allowed” to be political from the pulpit without being challenged by third parties and the “media.”

Democrats think it’s only a white church thing.

Churches who do this need to lose their tax exempt status.

Today is souls to the polls day across the south. It’s the Sunday where black churches walk/drive to the polling station following service.

They often walk to the polling station locked arm to arm, with the church pastor leading the way.
Are their tax exempt status threatened? Copies of today’s sermons available?

Polls aren’t open here on Sundays. It is the Lords Day. We have early voting next Friday, Saturday and on Halloween.

I've lived 55 years in SW Louisiana and have never witnessed this. Sounds great and inspiring, but I don't think it's a widespread custom.
