I don't know Georgia laws, but if they are anything like Florida's SYG law they are morally flawed and need revising. But I don't live in Georgia so that's a fight they will have to make for themselves. Louisiana Laws are quite different and thankfully so.

A reasonable explanation of what these guys were doing before the incident is important. This goes to their motive.
Were they involved in some kind of neighborhood watch?. Did they have a previous run in with the diseased? Had they had previous altercations or previous “arrests”? Did the cops know what they were doing? How did they respond so quickly? Did they have their firearms loaded and ready? The answers to these type questions are important.

Zimmerman was a case of self defense.
This case will boil down to self defense as well. Arbery was attacking McMichael (punching him and trying to take the gun).
The *only legal question* will be if it was legal for them to have their guns out.
But when Arbery was aggressing, trying to get the gun, the shooting became self defense.

Worth noting that while we’ve seen a video of it, a video does not show what happened before the camera started rolling.
I think the two dudes are trash and deserve to face the consequences, but there is more that we don’t know and there’s nothing wrong with asking questions or discussing it since it’s the only major news story that’s not COVID related right now other than the Flynn story.
