It would have been worse if the Democrats got their way. The Congress controls the purse not the POTUS. The Democrats wanted to pack a ton more spending into the BBB is part of the reason the thing took so long to pass.

Wasting your time. It’s topics like this that prove it’s a cult.

I could not care less about Joy Reid or Colbet. Never watched them. I’d really just like to know my children and grand children will have a real shot at the same type of financial freedom I’ve had.

Didn't hear a word when we printed the equivalent of 1/5th of the currency in the U.S. treasury over the last 4 years.

I agree. However I was hoping we could do much better than the Democrats.

That was completely stupid. I never agreed with that.

More like saying we’ll only take the one leg off rather than allow the gangrene to spread.

Hell, both sides of Congress are still trying to raise the ceiling some more.

Hopefully he will veto any additional spending bills that both sides of Congress are still trying to push.

You're giving Trump way too much credit.

SO you would rather have the endless government "shutdown" Kabuki every 6 months?

Yes. And actually shut it down.

It was his bill, he wasn't going to veto it unless the poison pill was yuge.

Trump wasn't much of a spending-cutter in his first term, but we're barely 6 months into this term. We'll see what the next six months bring.

If we haven't cut back on total spending by the end of his term, and I mean by a LOT (deficit of $500B or less) then we can go ahead and kiss the USD's value goodbye. The problem is that it's going to take a President and a majority in both chambers of Congress to make that happen and I don't think there's anything even within the same area code as enough political will to make that happen.

USAID being gone is so monumentally huge... and also extremely disgusting knowing that we were being fleeced for our tax dollars to prop up all this Democrat/leftis woke nonsense and propaganda. I want my fricking money back.

JFC... Cry more you fricking above the fray TDS f@ggot. Trump has done more in 6 months to benefit this country and the American people than any two term presidents have in my lifetime.

Vote for Kamala and Tampon Timmy next time, pussy.

Our debt to GDP is insane.

I have another number that will terrify you

Write out 1 Trillion in longhand
Right below that on the next line add a zero (10 Trillion)

Those numbers represent a number I followed prior to the 2008 meltdown

Now write out 1 Quadrillion in longhand
Right below that on the next line add a zero (10 Quadrillion)

Those numbers represent that number today

Quit blaming the Democrats
Quit blaming the Republicans
Quit blaming the Independents

Get rid of anybody (no matter the party) who does not think US fiscal policy, spending, and debt is not the #1 issue in the USA Today needs to be fired or retired. I sincerely hope my numbers are wrong but I fear they are actually accurate.
