Now it’s called The Save America Act and Johnson will get it passed. The problem is Thune in the Senate. He said everyone needs to pressure Thune to support a standing filibuster.

The problem has always been the McConnell senate. They don’t have the votes and know it so they hide behind the filibuster

I remember Johnson saying this last week on the Sean Spicer podcast...
He also spoke about the DHS funding that was removed, said it wasn't worth holding things up because the DHS has funds available from the BBB and won't run out of funding for a while, leaving time for Congress to revisit the issue.

If we could get the Save America Act passed in the Senate, we could get the already-House-approved SAVE Act passed in the Senate.
For all of their warts, the House isn't the problem at the moment.

Correct. DHS/ICE are funded thru 2028 or '29 thanks to the OBBBA

Thune should just come right out and say "We don't want to pass the SAVE act because we all know Democrats cheat. We want to make sure they can keep cheating so us Republicans don't ever have to be in power that long."
