I think you’re forgetting one pretty famous exception to that rule. Happened a little over 2000 years ago...

1. Please stop the intellectual shtick, you're fooling no one.
2. We are a constitutional republic and will hopefully be an empire under Donald J. Trump soon. We are not and have never been a democracy in the broad sense of the word.

why are the members of the board such conservatives but yet stray away from the thinking of the founding fathers who were insanely smart.
What have any actual constitutional conservatives ever said that would stray from the thinking of the founding fathers? You’re a moron.
We’re not a fricking democracy. We are a constitutional republic. I cringe every time I see somebody say something about us standing up for our democracy. A democracy means everybody gets a vote and majority wins. Democracy is mob rule.
You don’t know the first fricking thing about the founding fathers.

I've been human and alive...
Your qualifiers are a logical fallacy...
Get better at arguing...

It's tongue-in-cheek, a form of humor used to draw the ire of idiots...

Must be sad to hate patriotic Americans who love their President who is making America great again.

OP obviously skipped basic English to dive straight into the upper level civics courses.

You need to invest some time in studying grammar, sentence structure and composition.

If that fetus had a gun, would it still be aborted?

You like the psychology of politics?
I am a child of divorce, so I know the value of traditional marriage.

Ok, do you think the father should have a say in an abortion?
In all honesty it sucks but no, not really. I highly doubt there are that many cases where the father objects anyways though (I’m sure a google search turns up some, but by and large nah). At the end of the day it’s her body so it’s her call. You wouldn’t want anyone telling you what to do with your body, it’s between you and your doc. Same thing.

So I do study political theories and I have a profound interest in them and how thinkers in the past thought about politics.
One that I really like is Socrates and democracy. Socrates was not a huge fan of democracy and like most of you know, it was a democracy that led to the death of Socrates.
Now imagine a candy seller and a student staff in a high school election, the candy seller entices the people with candy and then says of the bad things the student staff does. What argument does the student staff have to counter? If he says he is doing it all for the good of his fellow students they will attack him.
I bring this up because this is the same case with modern America today, people involving themselves in policies that have nothing to do with them. If 30 people on this board were on a ship and they wanted to select a captain, do they elect the person with the most knowledge on riding a ship or do they elect their best friend?
No. Just... no.
The US is a Representative Republic based on a Constitutional framework. It's rare that the people vote directly on any bills other than Local and State (and those are rare as well considering how many are passed each year without a vote of the public).
quote:
Why are people so deeply invested in what a woman should do with her baby?
Well hello there Conversational Whiplash! Your writing skills are lacking, your shift from one subject to something else completely without any sort of transition is jarring.
To your point though, how come it's not the father's baby as well? What's the difference between killing an unborn child at 6 months versus 8 months? How is killing an unborn child different than killing one born only minutes ago? You should answer more direct questions privately before opining on the larger, more general ones publicly.
quote:
We say these kids protesting have no knowledge about Guns and shouldn't be doing so, no male on this board has ever been pregnant yet they feel they should have the right on pro-life or pro-choice.
Here you can't even stick to a single subject within a single sentence. You come across as stoned and rambling drivel after reading your first poli-sci book. Don't just read the ideas of these people, read the way they laid them out. No audience wants to listen (or read, in this case) someone spouting random babble, they want a concise set of well-developed thoughts.
As to the kids and guns part (as I've already expounded on abortion) I can honestly say I have no fricking clue what message you are trying to impart due to your sloppy writing. Are you saying that we think the kids shouldn't be protesting or are you saying because no man has ever been pregnant that they have no right to be pro-choice?
Sober up and try again.
PS: Your homework assignment is to study up on the phrase "panem et circenses". Give me at least three facts about the author and explain the full context of the phrase (ie: what the author meant by it).
PSS: Bonus points: Explain how the phrase is or is not relevant in general in today's society.
