I don’t wish ill will on nola and generally believe Moreno wants the best for the city. It’s in everyone’s best interest to have the city tighten up its finances though.
Without help from the state, there’s going to be some tough decisions in cost cutting.
And maybe that’s exactly what needs to happen.
I don’t see any mending between nola and the state.
It’s bad news for anyone paying taxes or fees In the city.
They’re all going up. Traffic tickets, property taxes, collection of outstanding taxes and fees…. It’s going to be rough

She isn’t saying the same type of things as Mamdani etal….so she shouldn’t be lumped in as a “socialist”
She’s a politician and she’s a democrat so that’s bad but I don’t think she’s going to be pushing for piedatere taxes, government owned groceries, rent control etc.

They all have socialist tendencies. It’s in their DNA. They really believe that it will work once they implement it “the correct way”.
Mamdani is something else entirely. He and the other wackos are filling the void because the Dems have no leadership right now.
