To: All U.S. Associates

Given continued progress on vaccination, new CDC guidance and improvements in public health trends, we are happy to announce some changes to our face covering protocols.

Effective immediately, if you have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you are no longer required to wear face coverings or social distance at [Company] and customer sites, unless customer or state/county/local requirements indicate otherwise. If you feel more comfortable continuing to wear a face covering, you are fully supported to do so.

Masking and physical distancing remain the best ways for those who are not fully vaccinated to protect themselves and others and to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Therefore, associates who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or choose not to disclose their vaccination status will be required to continue wearing face coverings and physical distancing at [Company] and customer sites until further notice. Please reference [Company]’s face covering policy for more information.
In order to enable this change, you will be required to indicate your vaccination status in Workday. We ask that you complete this by June 18. Once you log into Workday, you will see a banner on your home screen that prompts you to enter your vaccination information. You may choose one of the following options:

• Certify that you are vaccinated and provide information about the vaccination you received and dosage dates
• Certify that you are not vaccinated
• Indicate that you choose not to disclose your vaccination status

We also are reviewing other screening protocols needed by location, which may include regular testing for those who are unvaccinated or choose not to disclose their vaccination status. More information will be shared soon.

You can reference these frequently asked questions for more information. If you have additional questions, reference the COVID-19 hub on INSIDE or contact your HR business partner.

Thank you for continuing to uphold our safety culture.

Any legal action I can take?

Also I'm tempted to stitch a Star of David on everyone of my masks because all this is doing is marking others as "different" just like the fricking Nazis did.

I’m no lawyer, but medical discrimination sounds like a legal word.

I got basically the exact same email today from my employer’s corporate communication email account. Thankfully, I work for a very small plant site that is run by unvaccinated good ole baws who’ve been walking around the office mask free for weeks now.

Unfortunately we crossed that Rubicon when folks saw no problem with random drug testing of sober employees. Actions have consequences.

I'm curious if they'll actually enforce it. Just don't wear the mask and see what happens. They'll warn you first.

I suspect it's a battle most people don't want to have, or have the time to deal with. I hope. I feel for certain my company will send one of those over the coming weeks, as we approach the determination of going back to the office in August.

This requires the legal argument equating narcotics that were illegal to consume with experimental drugs required by law.

I dont think the two are comparable as the vaccines cannot be required by law.

Seems like a major HIPPA violation.

We received the same email a few days ago... almost identical. Except we have to email our vaccination card to an email address. Here's the kicker- My company stated no one is allowed to ask you if you're vaccinated or not (I'm guessing that is considered forcing someone to disclose medical information which is illegal). However, if for whatever reason they find out you lied about your status and aren't wearing a mask.... well that's grounds for termination.

It is out of hand. My wife's doctor told us not to get the vaccine because we already had COVID and should be good for a while. Trust the science, right?

That’s fine. I just didn’t want to put their name on here.

Company was okay before COVID but have handled it extremely poorly. I’ve been looking to get out for a couple months but only looking for a job with a good pay increase. Will probably start looking at side step positions soon.

My company has said basically the same thing. However, we still haven’t been given the OK to return to the office.
