Nobody has ever answered this question to me. Why the hell would Russia want Trump over Clinton? We see her stupid reset button, Uranium One, Clinton Foundation, and the shite show that the ME became with the US pulling out of most of it. Why in the hell would they not want a diplomatic rank amateur in charge as Commander in Chief? Her opponent was openly talking tough about Russia as well. There was respect, but the guy was certainly not seen as an ally.

Why? Please tell me that. Your entire premise of all the shite for the last year and a half is that Russia wanted Trump. Everything hinges on that. There is no motive though.

I asked that question a year ago right here.
The only answer I got from a lefty was...
'The Russians wanted to see if they could do it.'

Weak. Really weak.

I personally asked this 2 days ago.

Someone else did the same yesterday.

The only answers are BS or flat-out lies ... because there is no logical explanation.

I can answer it (though, I think the whole thing is projection by HRC's team - THEY are the one's that should be investigated)

1) Chaos Agent - we don't care WHO...we just want the uproar

2) To see if we CAN. If they meddled FOR HRC...how would they judge effectiveness? She was SUPPOSED to win. I can only know if I am powerful if I make the underdog win.

So, I think it is bullshite. But, if assigned that "side" in a debate...I'd start there.

One reason could be that Putin despises Clinton, but that would require progs admitting their queen isn’t universally beloved

I told both of y'all and you didn't believe me.

Russia has a monopoly on selling natural gas to the EU. The goat humpers in the ME want some pipeline and in on the action. Said pipeline has to go through Syria.

Crooked was willing to start a global war to make that happen and to get rid of Assad. Check out how much money says goat humpers "donated" to her foundation.

Trump is an international businessman. It is not out of the realm of possibilities that promises were made that revolved around business or sanctions involving Russia.

Note: I'm not saying that is what happened as not real evidence exists of this, just answering a possible scenario for why Russia would prefer Trump.

Magnitsky Act has always been my best guess and is obviously why the Trump Tower meeting has been under so much scrutiny.

It's the exact opposite. If you're wheeling and dealing you want to do it with Hillary because she's a fricking moron who has trouble staying vertical.

The problem is evidence. If we are talking "realm of possibility," it is in the realm of possibility that Trump is a sleeper agent for the Kremlin. The question is what evidence is there of preference based on business? Answer, there isn't any. It is just conjecture.

It's not really about who would be nice to Russia

It's about who would create chaos to the foundations of American life and government, or at least, which candidate will best fit in to plans to do those things.

The answer to that is clearly Trump, although I think Russia was largely ambivalent about the outcome. An HRC presidency with a rabidly obsessed, conspiracy theory, overthrow-the-government minority (so like the current left, but switched) would have been fine.

With trump tweeting relentlessly about it every day. it would be the birther controversy, only pushed by republican nominee for president DJT, rather than reality tv star djt.

Ok, go on.

So the business guy would be a bigger origin of chaos than the party successor of "fundamental transformation?" The business guy over the people that threw gasoline on the dumpster fire of the ME? The answer is clearly not Trump.

I think this is what they would have preferred... and it's not close.

That wasn't the question in the OP

Are you serious? You guys just have a knee jerk reaction to everything in defense of Trump, even when he's not under attack.

You voted for him because he's unorthodox and was going to destroy the establishment and drain the swamp. Now you're freaking out because someone is saying that those things?

Returning the US to a more 80s Reagan model is not good for Russia. Keeping the Leftward momentum of Obama was absolutely in their best interest.

Part of Trump's core base thinks that the other side is promoting Satanism and pedophilia in some widespread manner, to the extent a guy showed up with a gun over it.

I think you're being a little generous to Trump in the consistency of his policymaking, but even taking that off the table, Trump openly promotes a revolt against American media and has created an environment (with the MSM's help, of course) where nothing is to be trusted.

Surely you can see how Russia mind find that appealing. Now, if the argument is HRC and the reaction to HRC would have been more appealing, it's plausible. I don't think that's really the case, as HRC is a much more traditional and more predictable politician, but I'm sure you can craft a decent argument for it.

because he's stupid, very ignorant of how the world actually works, ignorant of protocol, and his opinions and positions on topics are that of an eight grader and they have leverage on him.

There are a TON of logical explanations, but you choose not to listen to them. Trump has EXTENSIVE ties to Russia and has never said a negative thing about Vladimir Putin. Even when pressed, he still won't say anything negative.

We know he has business dealings in Russia, but because Trump is the first modern President that keeps his taxes hidden, we can't say to what extent.

The dossier suggests he could be compromised. If he were more forthcoming and honest, maybe more of the public would believe him. But, because he's never accountable for jack shite, the majority choose not to.
