I watched The English Patient and Marie Antoinette.

The English Patient is excellent, a little different from the book but a brilliant adaptation nonetheless. It blends epic landscapes with intimate sensuality.

Marie Antoinette is fun (the end notwithstanding) and Kirsten Dunst is probably at her finest in the looks department. I found it a little amusing when Louis and his advisers were debating whether or not to keep funding foreign wars while the country was headed to insolvency. “We can’t let England win!”

Sorry, but I have to laugh at the people who feel the need to run to social media and post to their friends that they aren't/didn't watch the Super Bowl.

Attention-seeking virtue signaling just like those people who put those "This house believes" signs in their yards during 2020.

There's a lot of truth here.

That would be me. I took a knee for the Black National Anthem and watched All in the Family reruns.

I watched most of it. Missed part of the 3rd quarter to run an errand. Mostly a good game.

Nope. I “care” about idiots starting threads where they tell us that they didn’t watch. I simply call that effeminate virtue signaling out, which is what I did here.

It was on at my house because wife’s birthday and we had friends over.

I’m embarrassed to admit I watched Q4 and OT.

I never imagined a lot of things happening today 10 years ago.

But I often didn’t watch the Super Bowl.

It will likely be the most watched Super Bowl ever. The legalization of sports gambling (now up to 35 states) has given the league a boost.
