You’ve already been explained to with this. The only possible way, which is still ineffective, to “fight” the virus is to shut everything down, which is what Trump, the CDC, and many governors chose to do. If he left everything open and our economy soared you’d be bitching about number of cases and or deaths from the virus.
If he kept everything shut down but less deaths, you’d be bitching about the economy. Pick one to bitch about not both. It’s a virus, there wasn’t much else he can do. I’m still waiting on your list of things he should have done, in hindsight. Because he did what was recommended by epidemiologists along with the CDC

Well, that's a response. Glad to see it. So I ask in return, what did this downplaying cause to happen or not happen within the medical/science community that's been on the case from the beginning? As I understood it the "routine" actions were underway regardless of what Trump did or didn't say publicly.
