Cash for Clunkers hurt poor people too because it decreased the supply of used cars available thereby raising the cost of used cars. As anyone with an ounce of economic sense could have told you would happen.

It more affected the price of USED cars and trucks. I mean when you take half the used cars off the market, obviously the other half are going to rise in prices.
Gone are the days of finding decent cars for less than $1000.
