So what is your position on the SG pick?

She actually uses that language.
Her numbers are a fiction, just like everything she said about masking our kids during COVID.
Suicides are very rare, as Chase Strangio from the ACLU finally admitted in the Supreme Court last week. We know this from extensive data in Finland and the UK as well. We don’t need either side weaponizing suicide with fake stats to make their argument.
She’s a rank amateur, a know-nothing propagandist, and has no business working for any health body.

She's criticized the instinct to go to hormone therapy/surgery while acknowledging the existence of trans kids and promoting the suicide claims used to bolster "transgender care." And she's done it while using GAAB and other trans terminology.
Personally I think that is regressive and should be disqualifying. We just won an election to wrestle the country away from the zealots who push this stuff, and her being "better than some" on it just isn't enough for me.
The number of kids with actual gender dysphoria who can be diagnosed definitively as children is negligible. "GAAB" is an absurd concept to begin with. I want an SG that without qualms says that mutilating children or other irreversible "care" is abhorrent and has no place in our country.
Add to that she's a TV doctor with a pretty weak resume, and I just don't get the appeal at all. I'm not insulting Trump when I say this, but I think it's reasonable to assume he picked her because he's familiar with her from FNC and Waltz recommended her and Waltz has Trump's ear.

Yes. People are freaking out because she’s using the language of leftists. But she’s using that language to explain why leftists policies are dangerous. She’s not advocating for medical transitions or for “gender affirming care” to treat gender dysphoria. She’s taking the conservative position, she’s just using the language of leftists to better explain to them why this position makes sense.
