Well since we no longer produce things, we need a steady stream of printed cash to keep all the lawyers, fund managers, doctors, bankers etc from all the right East coast families uber wealthy

False.
The lobbyists who control Congress are addicted to federal pork.
I wish it was that simple, but it's not. If you're looking for an easy solution to our exploding deficits, you're in for a big disappointment.

It ain't happening SFP. No one has the courage to do it. No one.
The debt will hit $100 trillion before long, maybe 15 years from now, slightly longer?
It is all a ruse.
The ruling class is getting wealthy and holding political theater events for those that half way pay attention.
Complain all we want, nothing will happen.

Trump has already accomplished more spending cuts than your stupid "libertarian" heroes will ever achieve in their careers.

At this rate, I imagine sub-10

Hey look it’s the Dems plan for the boarder bill

No one is getting reelected on cuts.
You don't get re elected by cutting Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security or Defense. Those and monies transferred to states are the only relevant parts of the budget. And the money sent to states isn't getting cut either.
The rest is pennies in the sofa.
Nothing will ever be cut. Congress doesn't even define cuts as real cuts. Congress exists to spend, not cut.
The debt trajectory will continue upward as it has for decades.
It will go one this way until something breaks or collapses and the answer will be to spend more, not cut.

Yes, we definitely should take a page from their playbook and start playing the long game. Our side continues to fail because we have people who insist on getting everything or nothing, which means they get nothing.

The Presidency, too.

Define "everything" in the context of our deficit

So we should have allowed what was it, 5000 illegal aliens to cross a day because we need something to get done and wanting all or nothing isn’t feasible?

This makes no sense. Trump has already fixed this problem.

We may be at the point where failure to substantially reduce spending will bring real catastrophe.
Getting control of the budget is the right thing to do but doing this will get our leaders fired.
We have a system that punishes our representatives for doing the right thing

Yep, this is why it must be done over time if we're going to get anything done.

At current rate, I believe we add over $3 trillion/yr, so 15 years or so is the projection.
Of course, new crisis's will be invented and they will just spend away.
Tell me, how do you think this will get resolved?
Complaining about any present member of Congress or Trump is futile.

This is exactly my point. Dems wanted to allow like 5000 a day. Turned out we needed a different president who got all and didn’t settle.
Now we have people saying “just sign this so we get some!” Essentially the equivalent of the dems saying “allow 5000 a day.”
No, just get all the cuts
