Nickname serve many purposes, one of which is helping a person “fit in.” In South Carolina, I have no doubt that “Nikki” serves that purpose better than “Nimrata.” in El Paso, the same is true for a person named Robert to use the familiar form of Roberto .

Beto is NOT.. Ted, either. People keep calling him Cuban, but his father‘s family lived in Cuba for only a short time. They were natives of the Canary Islands. Canarians are almost entirely European (Iberian).

My issue wasn't with the used name, just the argument that only Democrats did it.
