Cornyn will never endorse Paxton. He’s no different than McCain, Romney, McConnell, and other “Republican “ senators.

He’s actually a scumbag.

However, I pulled the lever for him in the primary and will support him. In addition, my local GOP, which is the 3rd largest in the country, will also support him over that broken POS Cornyn

You got played John

Yes. Thune will lose three rinos for sure this November — Cornyn, Cassidy, and Thillis. Hopefully a couple more I am not thinking of. Perhaps they will vote that cocksucker weasel out of his leader role.

The Founders would have been challenging liars and having Duels on the WH lawn for crap like that.

True dat = that was the way civilization advanced - allowing ordinary citizens to enforce obvious moral atrocities when there was no effective higher power to do so - or willing to do so.

That of course requires a moral underpinning in the public at large - where 'right' and 'wrong' are clearly drawn lines in the sand.

By our ignoring of the moral lines aspect of civilization for the past century we are lacking both elements now - we have a crooked governing structure, plus a 'free press" that is exercising their 'freedom" to ignore plain moral/societal abuses, plus a growing proportion of our population that have never had any instruction/discipline in what is "moral" to tolerate.

By inches, we have retreated from all that made our highly placed standard of living possible - and have neglected our youth's moral development in the headlong dash for more $$ or more fame.

The system our forefathers bequeathed us is being starved day by day and even the most morally aligned of us do not know the real true "right thing" to do in the face of such universal filth.

We relied too long on "good will" of all sects of society to come to agreement on the 'best way forward" = and we failed in ensuring the society had the moral backbone to insist it be done.

I've hung around for 88 years and have never felt so disillusioned for the future. If I didn't have great-grandsons who are going to have to survive in this hellhole, I wouldn't care - life has been good to me. I have obviously been negligent in passing that good fortune on to them.

I like what Paxton has done as AG in my state and has taken some bold stands for the state.
But lets dont kid our ourselves. He is not a clea guy and he will be bought and controlled by the DC machine. He is shady in politics, business and personal life.

I just hope he can beat Talarico if he wins.

How could you say that? The guy is the epitome of scum and never should hold office. He is an awful human and any person with any intellect would vote against him. Cornyn was and is the much better option.

A reckoning for so many of you is coming when reality hits and you realize, most people in this country do not like these wild positions that for some reason have support in far flung places like this board.

Be more specific. What reality? And please, don't make it about feelings. Make it about facts.

I honestly cannot wait to read your take because I've got a lonnnnng list of actual things Cornyn has said and done and voted for, and against, that will counter your claim that he is a good person.

You might try to paint a "lesser of two evils" picture ... but even that will not support your claim that Cornyn is a good person.

Here are the choices for Texass voters as I see it:

Talarico - Democrat - kooky as hell. Way off the reservation. Stands no chance.

Cornyn - RINO - there for the grift. Supports whatever position makes him the most money.

Paxton - MAGA - piece of shite person on all levels, but will support Trump / MAGA for the short term before succumbing to grift.

I generally support Trump, but don't understand why he didn't stand behind Paxton to start with.

There's no telling how much political bullshite goes on that the public has no idea about...

I suspect it had to do with two things.

1 - Thune was playing the SAVE Act card to string along Trump on Cornyn's behalf.

2 - Once the polls starting showing Paxton with a double-digit lead, both Trump and Thune read the writing on the wall ... and Trump was smart to take a wait and see approach. Texas politics are important and tricky.

Good enough for me, Cornyn is pro 3rd world immigration, has never done anything for maga, and It's a new world in politics, Let paxton know that his first anti maga vote is where Maga leaves him.

Paxton may be The King Of Grift ... I could care less.

At least he's anti-Sharia Law, Pro-2A, and MAGA af.

Cornyn is just as grifty if not moreso ... a deep state back stabbing RINO, and a traitor to MAGA, and one of Thune's chogey boys.

So Paxton has taken a slight lead since the endorsement from CPAC last night .... according to the bettors.

If tweet fails to load, click here.

A slight lead.

Lol

Cornyn is toast.

Amazing swing ....

4 March, Cornyn leads Paxton 89%-11%.

30 March, after Trump's, TPUSA's and CPAC's endorsements, ... Paxton leads Cornyn 79%-21%.

That's amazing.

It makes you wonder if the RINOs have benefited or think they benefit from election fraud. I wouldn't put it past the democrats to help them out in primaries with their usual shenanigans.

You miss the RINOs paying for the Dem turnout machine to get Thad Cochran through the GOP primary in Mississippi some years back?
