A private academic worked with the Trump campaign. He saw something that concerned him so he mentioned it to the FBI. FBI said thanks and if you hear anything else let us know. And you’re melting over this

Information was not going to FBI. MisInformation went from FBI/CIA to Page and Pap. They were entrapped using this by second and third source.

I’d go one better.
Pull an Abscam and get them to accept illegal foreign campaign funding in exchange for promises to do something illegal once in power.
Get them to accept. Get them to take the money. Have it all on video.
Then slow walk the release by busting the campaign aides, leaking the story when the press starts whining, then leaking the video of them saying “Kamala will do what you want” when they try to claim it is an unaccountable aide who will be fired.
Basically, deputize Project Veritas with the powers of the federal government.

You realize that the informant’s conversations with the campaign players are the “concerning information” right? The informant was inserted into the campaign to taint Page and Pap. Hence the circular nature of the information itself. In other words, this will have no chilling effect on actual informants. Nice try though.
